IMPORTANT SHIPPING POLICIES – PLEASE READ
Orders will be shipped in the order they were received. You will receive an email prior to shipping to confirm that someone will be available to receive your plants.
To ensure safe delivery, we only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays, helping your plants arrive within the same week.
We do not ship until confirmation is received, so please respond to your shipping email promptly.
Customers will receive an email confirming they will be home to receive the plants when they are shipped and that their current payment method is valid. We ask customers to respond within 24 hours to avoid shipping delays.
We do not ship plants until we have confirmation that you will be home to receive them and that your payment method is still valid for shipping. Failure to respond to the email within 48 hours may affect your shipping date.
We will not be held responsible for any reduction in plant quality upon arrival caused by transportation delays or any other shipping-related factors.
Shipping Rates:
It is very difficult to estimate shipping weights; therefore, we will bill your credit card for the exact shipping cost charged by the shipping company. Please ensure the credit card on file is current and valid. If the credit card is declined, your shipment will be held until a valid credit card is provided.
If you choose to pay by Interac E-Transfer, you agree to provide your credit card to us for the shipping cost prior to shipment. Plants will not ship until a credit card has been provided for shipping charges.
Please contact us if you would like to receive a copy of your shipping invoice.
Shipping Methods:
We ship via Purolator within Canada unless you are in a remote location served only by Canada Post.
We ship only via UPS Express to the United States unless you are in a remote location served only by USPS.
Order Tracking:
You will receive an email from Haskap Central for Canada Post shipments and from Purolator/UPS for U.S. shipments, including the shipment tracking number, once your order has shipped. If you do not receive an email on the day we indicated your order has shipped, please check your junk mail folder or contact us.
United States Customers:
To avoid delays at Customs, please ensure you have set up a UPS account before the order is shipped.
Pickup of Plant Orders:
Our greenhouse is closed to the public. Therefore, an appointment will need to be made to pick up your plants. We prefer at least one week’s notice of the preferred pickup date to allow sufficient time for the order to be packed and ready. Alternatively, we can arrange pickup at the Purolator Depot in Prince Albert, SK. Please include in your order notes how and when you would like to pick up your order.
Handling Fee:
*NEW* We have reduced the handling fee of $20.00 on orders of 1-99 plants to $5.99 as of January 23, 2025.
A 5% handling fee applies to orders of 100 plants or more.
This fee covers packing of the plants, shipping materials and transport to the nearest shipping office in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, which is roughly a 100 km round trip from the greenhouse.
This fee will be added to your order at checkout.
Lifting & Storage Fees:
Lifting and storage costs, if any, are extra.
Equipment Crating Fee:
Equipment crating fees will be extra. All equipment travelling outside Canada must be crated in a wooden box.
Phytosanitary Certificate & Inspection Fees:
United States border regulations require a phytosanitary certificate for any live plants entering the United States. This fee covers the inspection and certificate issuance fees charged by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
This certificate is only valid for 14 days after inspection, so it is very important that you are responsive to our emails to ensure your plants can be shipped before the deadline. If you do not respond in time, a new inspection and certificate must be issued, which will result in additional fees and delays.
United States Phytosanitary Certificate and Inspection Fees for orders under $1,600.00: $27.00.
United States Phytosanitary Certificate and Inspection Fees for orders over $1,600.00: $86.00.
International (European Union, Switzerland & Norway) Phytosanitary Certificate and Inspection Fees: $220.00.
This certificate fee will be added to your order upon checkout.
Border Policies:
We are not responsible for any tariffs, duties, customs fees, or additional charges imposed by regulatory authorities. The customer is solely responsible for any such costs incurred in connection with their order. We do not provide estimates or reimbursements for these charges under any circumstances.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Inspection and Certificate of Approval will govern and are final. Import regulations are the buyer’s responsibility. No refunds will be issued for quarantined or destroyed plants by other government agencies. The buyer is responsible for any and all costs related to the treatment, disposal, removal, or rerouting of plants, or any other fees that may be charged by their government agency.
