Released by the University of Saskatchewan in 2008, the Prairie Sensation apple is a cold-hardy variety bred to withstand harsh prairie winters. Known for its crisp, juicy texture and aromatic flavour, it’s an excellent choice for growers looking for both resilience and taste.

Size: Large, 7.3–8.6 cm in diameter (average 7.63 cm or 3 inches)

Color: Light green base with 50% red wash and stripes

Shape: Round to slightly oblate with a smooth, medium-thick skin
